Parish Ministries

 

 

 Altar Server
 A lay ministry experience and an opportunity for active participation in the Liturgy, available to young men and women who have received First Communion.
Building & Maintenance Building repairs, snow removal, landscaping, grass cutting, flowers, cleaning, etc.
Proclaimers Make the announcements before Mass, petitions during Mass and comments requested by the celebrant.  Share God’s Word with members of the congregation.  Readers will receive training in proclaiming God’s Word.
Environment Committee Plan decorations for special liturgies such as Christmas and Easter, etc. and help with the set up.
Eucharistic Ministers of Holy Communion Offer the Body and Blood of Christ to fellow parishioners at Mass or the ill in their homes.  Mandation by the Bishop follows completion of a workshop.  Must be at least 16 years old and Confirmed.
 St. Francis Helpers  Drivers to church, meetings, medical appointments.  Visit shut-ins and help with the household needs in time of healthcare and emergencies. 
 Hospitality Committee  Serve coffee, juice, and donuts the 1st Sunday of every month. Coordinate special events (Parish picnic, potlucks, etc.)
Knight of Columbus
This men’s group meets the first Tuesday of each month at 7:00 pm and helps both the parish and the community.
Musicians & Choir Assist singers with talent in organ, piano, guitar, etc.
Pastoral Council Advise, assist, plan and support the parish family and pastoral staff toward agreed upon pastoral goals.
Prayer Circle

“The OLV Prayer Circle is a group of parishioners who pray on a daily basis for requests made by anyone in need.

RCIA Team Provide formation and information for adults in the process of conversion to the Catholic Faith.
Religious Education Teach or assist in the religious education of our children and youth.
Respect Life The Respect Life Committee works to promote the sanctity of all life, from conception to natural death. Outreach to poor and disenfranchised, through charitable works.
Sacristan Work closely with Fr. Marek in preparation for the Mass during weekday and weekend liturgies.
Usher Make the celebration of Mass a friendly and personal experience for all who enter our church.  Maintain direction, reverence, and order during Masses.
Worship / Liturgy Committees Enable liturgical celebrations with and for the parish community and promote the ongoing active participation of all parish members. This involves all liturgical ministries as well as planning and trainings.
Youth Ministries / Youth Group Help to develop and participate in program for parish youth promoting activities in social justice programs and social events.
